A book club is a reading group, usually consisting of a number of people who read and talk about books based on a topic or an agreed-upon reading list. It’s common for book clubs to choose a specific book to read and discuss at the same time.

월넛크릭 한국학교 북클럽은 한국과 관련된 문학이나 동화 책들을 읽으며, 학생들의언어 향상 뿐만 아니라, 한국의 역사와 문화, 풍습등을 배워가기 위해 개설되었습니다.

Walnut Creek Korean School Book Clubs help students increase Korean and English vocabulary, and also develop understanding of Korean Culture and history through reading Korean-American author’s books.

영어 북클럽/Englsih Book Clubs

The WCKS book club will mainly focus on Korean cultural stories and books. Through this program, students will not only be able to expand their reading and oral communication skills, but deepen their appreciation and respect of literature and Korean culture.

In every class, students can develop and exercise their abilities of thinking in order to process as well as interpret the perspectives and opinions of their peers. Students will also be hearing and speaking a lot from the text alongside the discussion.

There will be a lot of interesting questions and topics that will encourage critical thinking and opportunities to voice one’s opinion in a non judgemental, fun environment. Reading is for everyone, so feel free to join us!
